Story: The Kimberley Dynamiters add depth down the middle

The Kimberley Dynamiters bolstered their centre position this week as they acquired centreman Brady Daniels from the Castlegar Rebels in exchange for Hunter Maximnuk.

Daniels was excited about the trade, "it's very exciting, it's a winning culture around here." He said. "There is something pretty special that you can feel in the arena itself, the atmosphere is really exciting. I am ready to get started."

Daniels, who hails from Yellowknife, NWT has scored one goal and three assists in 11 games with the Rebels this season. Last season he had 23 points in 42 regular season games; and then added nine points in 12 playoff games.

"Brady excels at face-offs, is great on the penalty kill and can also chip in offensively." Head coach and general manager Derek Stuart said. "He was Castlegar's playoff MVP last year and an assistant captain this year so he also adds veteran leadership. We think he's one of the best overall centermen in our league."

It is expected that Daniels will be in the lineup this weekend as the team travels to his now former division to play the Beaver Valley Nitehawks and the Nelson Leafs.

Daniels says that he expects to bring speed and faceoff wins to the team, which he believes will result in more team puck possession.
