Dynamiters dominate in Golden with a convincing 8-1 win over the Rockets

The Dynamiters traveled to Golden, an arena that they struggled in early on this season. Well, coming off their win in Fernie the other night, the Dynamiters found the intrinsic motivation to attack for two periods and then hold onto their lead for an 8-1 victory over Golden.

Game Notes

1st
The Dynamiters were buzzing early in the game, the were definitely using their speed to their advantage. They had a PP early in the first but weren't able to capitalize. Their second PP, Prevost couldn't buy a goal, Becica was making desperation save after desperation save, but when Richter got the puck from Prevost, he got it past Becica. Later the speedy Saretsky with Richter came swooping in and Saretsky took the pass and directed it in. Rosolowsky then scored to make it 3-0, and he also took a penalty at the same time. The Dynamiters led in shots 15-10.

2nd
A period that I am sure the Rockets want to erase from their minds (cue ASAPScience video on erasing bad memories). The Dynamiters were still buzzing and Saretsky snuck in his 2nd of the game (which I thought was a PP goal and by looking at the boxscore it should be but wasn't awarded). The playmaker Lane scored on the PP, and Prevost finally solved Becica and got a PP goal as well. The Dynamiters then had a good problem on their hands when they couldn't keep track of who was scoring. Richter added his 2nd of the game, and Wallace rounded out the five goal period for the Dynamiters as they now led 8-0. Becica was swapped for Viberg after the 7th goal. The Dynamiters outshot the Rockets 11-9.

3rd
In the span of the minuted the Rockets took a penalty and the Dynamiters two. The Rockets scored on their 4-on-3 man advantage. After that, the Nitro's clogged the neutral zone, sending one man in to forecheck. Brouwer mad some nice saves, and the D continued their heavy hitting. The Rockets outshot Kimberley 7-5 this period.

Nitro's Player of the Game
Jason Ricther - 2G, 2A, opened the scoring and had the assist on the eventual game winner.

Honorable Mentions
Braden Saretsky - 2G 2A, including GWG
Lincoln Lane - Impressed the webcast crew, 1G
Coy Prevost - 1G 1A
Tyler Kinnon - Delivered some heavy hits
Tyson Brouwer - 25 saves (referred to as the brick wall); 20th win this season
