Kimberley Dynamiters January Player of the Month: Adam Andersen

Prior to Saturday's game the Kimberley Dynamiters announced that Adam Andersen was their January Player of the Month.

"It was very deserving, it was an easy pick," head coach and general manager Derek Stuart said. "He had an outstanding month."

Andersen had a 4-0-1-1 record in January while posting a 1.10 GAA and a .951 SV%, including one shutout.

Andersen's efforts in January also earned him KIJHL Player of the Month honorable mention.

Also, in an unofficial all-star voting by media personnel from around the league, Andersen was voted the Kootenay Conference's top goaltender.

"It feels really good, obviously," Andersen said "It's nice to get recognized when you can. I have to thank all the guys. I'm very lucky and thankful to play on a great team."

Andersen and the Nitros head on the road Friday to Columbia Valley, and then host the Grand Forks Border Bruins on Saturday.
