Kimberley is a resort community located in the southeast corner of British Columbia and situated in the majestic Kootenay Rockies region along highway 95A and is a very unique four season resort with many first class amenities.  Kimberley and the surrounding areas have a regional trading area of approximately 80,000 people.

Our community is very well known for its strong sense of community pride; especially when it comes to hockey and cheering on the storied Kimberley Dynamiters!  KIJHL Champions in 2014/15 and Cyclone Taylor contender followed by KIJHL league runner-up in 2015/16.   With these past two exceptional seasons the average attendance during the regular season has been 630+ per game and during playoffs 860+. 

The Kimberley Jr. Dynamiters Hockey Club is operated as a Not-for-profit Society with a very dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. The Club is looking for an exceptional Head Coach and General Manager for the upcoming 2016-2017 season. The successful candidate will be compensated according to experience. Expected start date is May 1, 2016. Our ideal candidate will have a strong hockey background, be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills with a solid focus on player fitness, development and advancement.  

Duties

Mandatory Qualifications

·         Junior coaching experience

·         NCCP Development 1 Certification

·         Respect-in-Sports Certification
