We Have A Trade To Announce: Dynamiters send Tyler Garcia to 100 Mile House

In what GM Dave Smith called "a hard decision" for the future of the team, the Dynamiters dealt Tyler Garcia to the 100 Mile House Wranglers for Futures.

I interpret this difficult trade as one that has to balance the present with the future of the team. Including Garcia, the Nitro's had 9 players born in 1995, and you can see the problem that will create next season when you can only have so many players born in 1995.

I have personally enjoyed Garcia's presence in our lineup, and was thrilled when he decided to come play hockey in Kimberley instead of Texas this season. He has played in 13 games so far this season, scoring 2 goals and 7 assists, and appeared to be developing chemistry with fellow American teammate Keenan Haase. He was a key cog in the Dynamiters playoff push last season, scoring 7 goals and 2 assists in 9 games.

100 Mile House, you have collected a wonderful player who has a nose for the post-season. Garcia you will be missed, and best to you for the rest of this season and in the years to come.
