Formosa scored is first goal of three, on a bad giveaway by the Nitro’s to open the scoring. During the first period, Brouwer faced as many shots as a goalie would face during a game. He faced 22 shots, turning aside 21 of them.
The @nitroshockey goalie, Brouwer is on pace to stop 66 shots this game. Making a save a minute.

The Nitro’s started catching up to Creston, and eventually tied the game with goals from Buckley and Revie (it was nice to see Revie back on the ice after the hit in the Fernie game). The Creston goalie, Michalovsky, got away with pushing a stick away, should have been penalized. Not to mention un-sportsman like.
Formosa then added his second and third goals in the third period to give Creston the win.
By the end of the game, Creston had 43 shots on net, while the Nitro’s had 19. Brouwer made 39 saves and kept this game from being a blowout, he is undoubtedly the Nitro’s Player of the Game.
At the end of the game, the coaches had a little pow-wow after the game.
Glad they kept their cool, unlike someone else….
