The Dynamiters hold off the Rockets and win 6-4

In the third meeting between these two teams, the first held in Kimberley, you could tell that they were familiar with each other and that the rivalry blood was kicking in. There was no love lost between these two teams, but the Dynamiters came out with the 6-4 win.

Game Notes
If you have been wondering where Garcia went, he was traded to 100 Mile House
Liam McBain started his third game, his second against Golden

1st
The Nitro's opened the scoring early in the period (Buckley). However, the Rockets responded quickly with two of their own in 90 seconds. Campanella and Klingspohn scored as the period drew to an end to give the Nitro's a 3-2 lead.

I know Coach Bancks has said that there is no top line for the Dynamiters as they roll all four lines with ease, and each is dangerous and capable of defending in their own end. But the line of Klingspohn, Buckley, and Prevost which formed early in October, and has been together since, I have really enjoyed, and the were in on two of three goals this period. The Rockets outshot the Nitro's 11-8.

2nd
This was a rather uneventful period on the score sheet. However, frustration began kicking in and Marchi took two penalties and "semi" fought after the whistle. I have to admit, I held my breath every time Golden's #14 was on the ice, he was delivering so many cheap shots that I was afraid of injury.

3rd
Ok. Before we get to the scoring line of the story, let's first address the reason why security was called to the penalty box area and stalled play. There was this cute kid trying to be one of the Green Men, but in a rainbow outfit (I would have taken a picture, but I work for CFS and didn't think that would be good). After some fighting, two Golden players were called for minor's, and they now, after 55 minutes of game play, took exception to this kid acting goofy and shoved the glass and got after the kid. So naturally an adult stepped in to protect this kid, which is when security got called.

Back to the game. The Rockets quickly got a bouncing puck past McBain to tie the game 3-3. And then in what was a poor clearing attempt by the Rockets but an excellent pass to Hunt, made the game 4-3 for the Dynamiters. Klingspohn and Buckley scored a pretty short-handed goal. Richter then tipped in a point shot and it was 6-3. This is then when the earlier incident happened, penalties were being called. Dagostin came to the aid of team mate who was targeted and took down the Rockets player, neither actually dropped the gloves but they were called for fighting (now suspended).  The Rockets got their fourth goal late on a PP.

Nitro's Player of the Game
Eric Buckley. 1G 3A, he was in on the opening and go ahead goal in the first. He then provided helpers on the PP and SH goals in the third period.

Honorable Mentions
Jason Richter - He single handily killed off 15-20 seconds of a PK on his own against three Rockets players. He also had a goal.
Charlie Dagostin - Plays an unsung role for the team, but proved his value
Tyson Klingspohn - In the past seven Saturday games he has 12G 5A. That's 61% of his points in 39% of his games. Saturday's are his day right now.
Sawyer Hunt - Named star of the game by the KIJHL
