Chase Miller signs with Calgary Mustangs (AJHL)


Kimberley Dynamiters, and Eddie Mountain Conference, Rookie of the Year, Chase Miller, is moving on to Junior A after one season with the Kimberley Dynamiters.

The 19-year-old Calgary, AB native signed with the Calgary Mustangs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL).

"Chase is very deserving of this commitment." Kimberley Dynamiters general manager and head coach Derek Stuart said. "He had an excellent rookie season with us and has a very bright future at the Junior A level."

Miller is excited about the opportunity to play competitive Junior A hockey in his hometown while furthering his education. He was also grateful for the opportunity he had with the Nitro's.

"Playing in Kimberley under the coaching of Derek Stuart, who has been around the AJHL for many years, really helped prepare me for this level of play.

"Huge thanks to the town of Kimberley for the incredible experience. Hands down the best place in the KIJHL to play."

Miller played in 41 games this past season and lead the Nitro's in scoring during the regular season with 19 goals and 32 assists. He then added two goals and 12 assists in 17 playoff games.
