Chase Miller was awarded the Eddie Mountain Divisions Rookie of the Year. This award is voted on by the five coaches in the division. Miller posted 19 goals and 51 points in 41 games this season.
Miller said that achieving the award has been a goal of his all season, and has been a motivator.
"It's a huge accomplishment. It is something that I have been working towards this season. I am glad to reach that goal. And it is a good confidence booster. It is pretty special."
"It's very deserving. Chase put up a bunch of points. He was our #1 centreman all year. A key figure on our powerplay as well. Anytime that an award gets voted upon by all five coaches in your division, that's a nice feather in the cap." Said head coach and general manager Derek Stuart.
