Nitro's lose first game at home, fifth in a row

The Kimberley Dynamiters had a reserve player skating for them, #27 Matt Barzilay. It also appears that it was Barzilay's first game as a Nitro and in the KIJHL, so welcome!

And that is, unfortunately, about the only excitement in the game, except for Revie's unorthodox shot blocking while on the penalty kill.

There were missed offside calls, and penalties against the Creston Valley Thundercats. There was even a point during the third when Creston was up by one goal (3-2) with about 11:20 left in the third. Creston was lining up for a face-off on the penalty kill, down two men. You could tell this line was tired, but were the top penalty killers in the game. So just as the puck was about to drop, the Creston coach sends out a line change, well after the allowed time. No penalty, no delay of game, no negative consequences, just a free 30 second time-out for his penalty killers.

Creston then went on to score two more goals and won the game. The Nitro's were out-played, out-shot, and did not communicate. The teams seems to have lost the enthusiasm that they once had at the start of the season. Let's get out of this skid boys!
