Congratulations to local Cranbrook boy,
Scott Niedermayer for being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame!
Scott played midget hockey in Cranbrook, and in 1988-89, he led his team with 55 goals and 92 points as an offensive defenceman. He then went on to be an all-star in the WHL, and then became an elite NHL defenceman winning the Norris Trophy, Conn Smythe, the Stanely Cup (4 times) and Olympic gold (twice).
